SOSA challenge....................................... to get to LIVERPOOL 2021

Held every 4 years, the games in Liverpool will be the 11th National Games in the history of Special Olympics Great Britain. It is the largest multi- sport event for people with a learning disability.

The National Games gives regional groups a chance to meet up every 4 years and to compete against each other.

The last National Games were held in Sheffield in 2017 - please take a look at our pictures to see just what an amazing experience it was for athletes and volunteers alike.

In addition to the 49 athletes we are taking to Liverpool in 2021 we need to take sports coaches and our much needed volunteers.

Our sports stars will compete in Athletics, Boccia, Equestrian, Football, Golf, Judo and Swimming.

SOSA however, needs help with the challenge of getting the team to Liverpool and back – hopefully with some medals in tow!

The athletes love and benefit so much from  the social side of the weekly sessions but having something to aim for is also important. So, taking part in the National Games is a great motivator at their weekly training sessions

.

Our fund raising efforts are specifically aimed towards

  • 5 Day coach hire with driver plus fuel

  • 5 Day board and lodging

  • Sports kit

  • Upgraded First Aid Kit

Please help us in getting our athletes to Liverpool 2021!
